CHEERS and um...... DEERS?!?

This last Thursday we went to the Jazz game & watched them beat the Trailblazers! Go Jazz! And thanks Dad for the ticks! We had a blast! Krista, Jesse & sweet lil' baby Janie came with us ( I can't believe I didn't get a picture of all of us! My bad.)! But onto the big blue elephant in the room... What's with the deer you ask? Have I taken up hunting? No. Did I take a beautiful stroll up the mountaintops & watch Deers in their natural habitat? No. Did I look out my back window & see SIX BUCKS 20 FEET AWAY FROM MY BACK DOOR? DING, DING, DING... WE HAVE A WINNER! They were even closer than they appear in this picture, but by the time I got my camera, wouldn't ya know it, they had wandered on a bit! What in the world? But it was really fun to watch them, they were really pretty. I was just happy it wasn't a pack of wolverines or mountain lions.... You DO realize that when they were building our house is when they really DID catch a mountain lion out this way. Craziness! I didn't know we'd be living at a zoo, minus the security of, oh what are those things called again... CAGES!!!

You're so funny. I am living in the dang forest over here! I have seen a family of deer, a hawk swoop down to take a swipe at the squirrel that lives in our back tree, a turtle, bunny rabbit, and last week I heard banging in the backyard and there were two raccoons trying to get into the grill! Chris wanted to get his sling shot and get them, but they left before he could do it. I think that's awesome that you saw the deer - they must be short on food if they're coming into the valley this soon in the winter. Anyhoo - enough rambling! Love ya.

That is so crazy to see the deer wander so close to the homes. I saw some out by the railroad tracks between airport road and 4800 west about two months ago. Getting a little too close to city life there.

You may want to be careful in the next little while. I had a dream last night that there was a cougar wandering around your house. Although, in that same dream we had bear cubs wandering in our neighborhood. lol

Cool! Atleast, cool until they eat all your flowers this spring! :) I know they don't like daffodils and pansys, but they even ate the top of my new little apricot tree.

Hey, I thought I was so neat and set up a facebook account, but now I can't log back in. :( Not so neat after all.
